American Red Poll Cattle for sale in Five Corners, Washington

$2,000

American Red Poll cattle are a heritage breed. They were first developed in England and made their way to the United States. They are the oldest registered breed in the United States with Angus cattle and the American Red Poll Cattle founding their registry the same year.
The American Red Poll cattle are a dual purpose breed. They make excellent milk cows and can raise up a nice beef calf for your freezer. American Red Polls tend to be very easy going, well mannered cows. They are suppossed to have a tenderness gene similar to the Angus and are smaller boned. The ones we have had butchered out were very lean but very tender. Unlike the Angus, they put on less back fat. This equates to more usable meat per pound and less bone and fat waste.
We have two four year old registered American Red Poll Cows that are bred back to our registered bull. They should be calving about the first of April.
We also have a couple of yearling heifer calves that we are willing to part with. They are also full blood American Red Polls. We will process paperwork when you buy the heifer. They will be able to be bred this fall. Beef prices are up and are expected to continue to raise. You can buy these heifers at or about beef price for $1000 without papers or can pay extra $12000 if you want us to process the paperwork for registration.
